Ashburton College

High School students on Steps to Literacy programme. Varying periods of time and variable group sizes. Students received 4 x 40 minutes per week. Gains in Reading Accuracy and Reading Comprehension were not measured where the student was already above age level in those aspects at the start.

Criteria for inclusion on the trial:  Lowest achievers in each year group, limited to children scoring below the 20th percentile for all aspects.  Pre- and Post-Testing was done using the Lucid Range of assessment software.
